In my first term on council I was involved with many boards, committees and organizations throughout the MD. I have been privileged to meet and help so many wonderful people and societies in our community. This second term on council will allow me to continue on with the many projects that are currently underway.
I will continue being a voice for the people in both Division 3 and the M.D. of Foothills.
- Supported, advised and secured funding and grants for many organizations over the past three years including Millarville Community School, Millarville Community Library, Millarville Racing and Agricultural Society, Ann and Sandy Cross Conservation Area, Leighton Arts Centre, Rothney Astrophysical Observatory, Ranchers Hall, Millarville Recreation committee (extra funding for new boards around rink).
- Supported and arranged requests from organizations needing public works expertise and equipment to upgrade existing and problematic road issues:
- Millarville Community School parking lot and side road paved.
- MRAS approach rip rapped and upgraded after flooding as well as internal road grading and gravelling of the road.
- Leighton Centre approach widened for safe bus entry and exit as well as signage at the intersection to maintain a safe flow of traffic.
- Involved in forming the NW Foothills Recreation Committee to begin planning for a Recreation Centre for Divisions 3, 4 and 5.
- Signage for two historical roads: Old Mill Road and River Ford Road as well as signs along 292nd Street to make it safer for motorists travelling to and from MRAS grounds.
- Implementation of the Community Standards Bylaws, Municipal Development Plan 2010 (MDP), Joint Planning Agreement with Okotoks, Dark Sky Initiative, 911 identification of all properties in the MD of Foothills
- The ongoing challenge with the province advising council that negotiations will resume later this year with regards to the CRP/CMP. For continuity, I would like to be involved in maintaining our stance on many critical issues the MD has with this plan as it is presented now.
- Continued talks with the RCMP regarding speeding and disregard for area residents with noisy vehicles travelling through our MD especially highways 762 and 549 as well as residential portions of MD roads such as Plummer's Road.
- Commencement of a Growth Management Plan for our MD.

It was a privilege to listen to these outstanding young citizens.
Volunteering at the Millarville Fair
This 2010 Fair was the best so far in my opinion. The enthusiastic volunteers made this such a fun event for all who visited this August. Everyone went around with a big smile on their face all day despite the iffy start - cool morning. Plans are already in the works for next year.
